A Visit with the Steiners

The Steiner family, fellow farmers from Illinois, recently came through our area. We "met" the Steiners through KBR magazine a few years ago, and we all enjoyed getting to spend a little time with them, swapping stories and sharing fellowship.

Thankful for Freedom!

We hope you had a wonderful Independence day with your family. The Declaration of Independence was signed by fifty-six men 238 years ago. They, along with countless others, risked their lives to establish freedom in the United States of America, and this document still stands as the core foundation of our country. We were grateful to gather with friends on the Fourth of July, and remember this heritage we have been given as a nation.

Jonathan and his friend John enjoy mechanical work, and for the past several weeks,
they each have been making a racing mower to race on the Fourth of July.
Here they introduce each other's creations to one another and wonder whose will win the race...

A neighbor kindly offered for us to pick apricots from his tree. They were delicious!

An Evening of Fellowship

One evening last week we were invited to a surprise birthday party. It was wonderful to gather with many friends to celebrate Ashley's life and love for the Lord.
