“He therefore is the truest friend to the liberty of his country
who tries most to promote its virtue, and who,
so far as his power and influence extend,
will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust
who is not a wise and virtuous man ....
The sum of all is, if we would most truly enjoy this gift of Heaven,
let us become a Virtuous people.”
{Samuel Adams}
We are so thankful for our freedom as a country - for those who have died for our nation - and the spiritual freedom the Lord Jesus Christ granted to us through His blood sacrifice on Calvary. Through Him our physical freedom has meaning, for all men are one race and have been "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

May God bless all those who are sacrificing much to fight for our freedom; may we be faithful to pass on the legacy and price of freedom to our children and be vigilant to protect it!

My country, ’tis of thee,Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing;Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims’ pride,
From every mountainside,
Let freedom ring!
 |
| ...Accompanied by homemade ice cream |
Our fathers’ God, to Thee,
To Thee we sing;
Long may our land be bright
With freedom’s holy light;
Protect us by Thy might,
Great God, our King.
{Samuel Smith}
