Happy Birthday Mom

Happy birthday Mom!!!
We love you and appreciate all the many sacrifices you daily make for us, your family! Thank you for being a godly, dedicated woman of God.

"Then shall thy light break forth as the morning,
and thine health shall spring forth speedily:
 and thy righteousness shall go before thee;
the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward."
{Isaiah 58:8}

We love you!

Bright Lights

Bright Lights recently had a series of conferences in Kansas. It was a blessing to see old and new friends alike and to meet the BL staff in person after previous correspondence. God is certainly using the Mally's ministry to encourage young girls to stand strong for His name.

It was a blessing to hear the staff share at dinner how the Lord is working in young girls' lives

Grace's brand-new book, Will Our Generation Speak? is a wonderful call to boldly
witness to others and share the  Gospel - thank you Grace for writing it!
"They that be wise shall shine as the brightness
of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness
 as the stars for ever and ever."

Cheesemaking Classes

A few weeks ago, the girls and I attended a two-day cheese-making class by Marilyn Weinstein. We learned a lot about the science and art of cheese-making: things we had not learned from a book! Thank you for sharing your expertise, Marilyn! We look forward to sharing what we learned with our  customers.

Homemade cheese is delicious and a great skill to know in order to
 provide healthy cheese for the family

We were blessed to be able to stay with Mrs. Burns while we were out of town for our class. Thank you so much for sharing your life and beautiful home with us through your generous hospitality. We were blessed to see you again and truly enjoyed our time with you!

"Hast thou not poured me out as milk,
 and curdled me like cheese?
Thou hast granted me life and favour,
and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit."

Remembering the Price of Independence

God of our fathers, known of old,
Lord of our far flung battle line,
Beneath whose awful hand we hold
Dominion over palm and pine—
Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,
Lest we forget—lest we forget!

Happy fourth of July! Today we remember both the privilege and responsibility of living in a free country. These freedoms were not without great investment and cost, and we are grateful to those who have died for our nation's independence.

The ultimate price for eternal freedom required the blood of God's own Son, and through Jesus Christ we can be truly free, for "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed" (John 8:36). Trust in Him alone for your eternal salvation!

May God bless all those who are sacrificing much to fight for our freedom; may we be faithful to pass on the legacy of freedom to our children and be vigilant to protect it.

The tumult and the shouting dies;
The captains and the kings depart:
Still stands Thine ancient sacrifice,
An humble and a contrite heart.
Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,
Lest we forget—lest we forget!
