Trip 2011: Beach Days

We stayed in a beach house and had a beautiful view

"O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers,

and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

So far, four of our goats have kidded, with 15 more to go! The kids are so cute and we enjoy bottle-feeding them.

Trip 2011: The Bryants Go To the Beach

Finally, the day arrived! At last we were at the beach! Since it has been over ten years since we have been to the ocean, most of the children do not remember it and we all were so thrilled to see it at last. The weather was beautiful, but the water was very cold. This did not deter the Bryant children from swimming in it for three days straight!

Mom took her kite that Dad bought her many years ago at Nags Head.
The wind was perfect for flying it, and she had a great time.
The wind in Kansas is just not the same as at the beach -
the weather was perfect while we were there.

While we were staying at the beach, Brandon was able to visit us since he recently moved to Georgia. We enjoyed seeing him, seeing his new "home," and catching up on news.

Spring Has Begun!

Samuel's first batch of chicks arrived last week

Our cow calved, so the milkmaid is back in business

And kidding season has begun!

Trip 2011: Dana and Doris

While driving by the house mom grew up in, she had a wonderful surprise. She was able to see her favorite neighbor and Godly mentor that was instrumental in her growing up years. It was such a sweet surprise to see Doris again and visit with her. What a blessing!

Trip 2011: Visiting Grandparents

On our trip, we enjoyed visiting Mama B and Papa and had a wonderful time with them.

As you can see, Samuel was overflowing with energy (saved up from a week's worth of car rides) and enjoyed exploring Dad's old play places where he grew up.

It's that time again...yet another birthday celebration!
