The Mooo-ve: Moving Day

"How many miles down the road do we go?!"
Moving day finally arrived in October. We had an excellent Mayflower packing crew who moved our furniture to the new home. It was an exciting day for our family!

Most of the children do not remember moving in the Army; however,
Nathan has memories of watching our movers in Korea pack our household goods.
He was two years old then!

Our little cow wasn't too sure about everything...
Thanks for your work, guys!

The Mooo-ve: Summer Projects

Blessed to live in America
Our family's move has been an on-going adventure this summer and fall! Although it certainly has been a challenge, it has entailed opportunities to build closer relationships with one another and with the Lord. We have seen Him answer prayers and provide in truly faith-building circumstances. We are thankful that our God reigns and guides all things for His glorious plan.

The Mooo-ve: Packing

Moving has been a fun family effort - everyone pitching in to help with different aspects of moving over 325 animals, 12 years' accumulation of household goods and farm equipment, and more. So far, we have taken around 50 trailer loads in the moving process - and we are not yet done. Each day is a new adventure!

Packing books

Our kittens are not much help!
Packing the barns: anyone want to go sledding?
Samuel tried to jump on this sled before it hit the ground, but didn't quit make it...
Nathan and Mom took out many barn loads over the summer
Hay
Freezers {a huge thank-you to "Uncle Jack" for lending us his trailer!}
Furniture
Feed and animals
We enjoyed our first meal at our new home as a family,
served on our new dining room table!
"O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
For his merciful kindness is great toward us:
and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever.
Praise ye the LORD."

The Cows are Coming Home...

.... to their new home!

In August of 2007, we purchased a section of land in Holton, Kansas. At the time, we planned to build a home on this property and move our farm to a new location. It has been our desire to teach our children to work hard and contribute to the family economy, by expanding our family farm and giving our sons more opportunities for entrepreneurial projects. Ultimately, we would like Tom to be able to to stay home and work with them in the family business.

However, after we bought the land, we felt the Lord halting our efforts to build. As we look back, we see that it was best that our plans did not go through - and that the Lord had a much better plan in mind.

This August, we purchased a home which is located about a mile from our land - and it was built five years ago - the exact time we purchased our land! The Lord's hand of provision is so amazing to see, and we stand in awe of His perfect plan for our family and farm business. We are in the process of relocating and look forward to seeing how the Lord continues to guide us. Farm business will continue as normal.

The family after purchasing the new farm
Truly, we can say, "The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad" (Psalm 126:3). He has answered prayers "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think" (Ephesians 3:21)! May He receive all the glory!

Announcing....a New Book!

Last spring, the Lord laid a message on Sarah's heart, and thus she began writing her second book for Christian young ladies. This has been a continual process of growth as she sought the Word of God, and shared what the Lord was so powerfully teaching her - the depths and power of the Gospel.

The title of this newly-released book is
One Thing I Desire: To Know Christ More, based on the expressions of Psalm 27:4 and Philippians 3:10. As Sarah has spent more time studying the Words of life, her life has been transformed and her desire has deepened to share the Christ revealed in it with her sisters in Jesus. Her purpose in this book is to challenge other girls to hide themselves in the Scriptures, that they would be engulfed by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

One Thing I Desire: To Know Christ More is available from KBR Ministries - order today

"Yea doubtless,
and I count all things but loss
for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:
for whom I have suffered the loss of all things,
and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ...

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness,
which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ,
the righteousness which is of God by faith:
that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection,
and the fellowship of his sufferings,
being made conformable unto his death."{Philippians 3:8-10}

Farmall Cub

Our men recently had our Farmall Cub repaired and it is in working order now. Nathan and Jonathan are excited about having another tractor to add to our growing "tractor collection."
