Harvest Time...

This week, for the first time, Nathan has been busy cutting and baling our hay. He will be harvesting his alfalfa soon as well. This is an exciting time for him. Good job, Nathan!

"When he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them,
because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd."
{
Matthew 9:36}

"Then saith he unto his disciples,
The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few."
{Matthew 9:37}

"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest,
that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."
{Matthew 9:38}

"For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof."
{I Corinthians 10:26}

 The hay fields around here are so beautiful this time of year!

  1. It looks so lovely there! Could almost feel the warmth from the sun and hear the tractors just from looking at the photos. :)

  2. My husband (a Kansas farmboy himself) has often told me that when he looks back on all his farm chores while growing up, he loved cutting alfafa hay the most... Now, living in the city >>sigh<< he has been caught sniffing the little bags of rabbit hay in the pet store aisle! (Isn't that a sad story?! ha) I shared this blog post with him and he said he could just see the sunset and feel the sweat and recall the scent and sensations....... He said for you all to be sure to sleep with your windows open the night you cut alfafa!

    So, Nathan, I can guarantee you are now making memories to last your whole life through......
